MVP Laboratories was founded by Lysle Wilkins, DVM; Mary Lou Chapek, MT (ASCP) and F.W. Kullenberg, DVM. The genesis of the company was founded upon addressing veterinarian’s unmet diagnostic and vaccine needs.
Combining their 87+ years of experience, MVP was launched in 1981 as a federally licensed laboratory (#301).The first endeavor was the development of an effective canine parvovirus vaccine. During the emergency of the parvovirus epidemic, both veterinarians and pet owners benefited immensely from the availability of a licensed and intrastate parvovirus vaccine.
Headquartered in the heart of the United States, MVP pursued to solve other significant diseases issues, including Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae, Streptococcus suis for swine and Mycoplasma bovis, Clostridium perfringens Type A in cattle.
